Don Larimore

Donald G. Larimore, 74, of West Lafayette, died Thursday-July 6, 2017, at 4am at his residence, after a 7 month battle with cancer. He was born Oct 23, 1942 in Lafayette, to the late Donald C. & Ruth H. Skiles Larimore. His marriage was to Arceli G. Tacdol in Las Vegas, NV, on July 21, 1999, and she survives. He was a 1960 graduate of Delphi High School, and received his BS in Visual Arts from Purdue University in 1971. He worked for the former Eli Lilly & Co., Lafayette, for over 30 years, retiring in 1993. He served for 4 years in the Indiana National Guard. He raced MG cars for several years, all over Indiana and surrounding States, and was a member of the SCCA. He loved to restore and paint cars, and enjoyed mechanics, doing all the work himself. He loved music, singing, and playing his guitar. He enjoyed photography, traveling with his wife, and wintering in Key Largo, FL, for many years, where he loved to boat & fish. He dearly loved his wife  and children and all his immediate family. Surviving: wife-Arceli G. Larimore of West Lafayette; daughters-Julie & Doug Patrick of Austin, TX, Heather & Micah Kinneman of Carmel; sons-David & Kristy Larimore of Indianapolis, Darin Larimore fiancé Alli Cunningham of Indianapolis; sisters-Claudia Hicks of Delphi, Pam & Karl Ferger of Lafayette; brother-Richard & Annabelle Larimore of Delphi; 5 grandchildren. Preceded in death by a sister Beverly; brother in law Tom. Services: Friends may call Monday from 11am until his funeral service at 1pm, at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi.
