Helen O. Eaton, 89, Rolling Meadows, Healthcare Center, LaFontaine, died at 8:40 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 1993, in her residence.
She was born in Montpelier, March 17, 1904, to Ernest and Cora Kain Harris. Her marriage was Aug. 2, 1928, in Muncie, to Harold Eaton, who died May 20, 1986.
A retired teacher, Mrs. Eaton taught in Flora and Delphi schools. She was a member of Flora Church of the Brethren.
She was a graduate of Ball State University, and did graduate work at the University of Michigan, Purdue University, and Indiana University. She received her master's degree from Ontreal University, Montreal.
Surviving are a daughter, Betty Sagarsee of Wabash, three grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
A daughter and a brother preceded in death.
Services were held Monday in Reinke Funeral Home, with the Rev. Alvin Grumbling officiating. Burial was in Maple Lawn Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
