
Asa Jackson "Jack" Cohee, 80, of Delphi, passed away at his home on Wednesday-June 5, 2024, at 3:40pm. Jack was born on December 11, 1943, in Lafayette, to the late Asa H. & Laurene Jackson Cohee. He was formerly married to Patricia Lyons Cohee. Jack was a 1962 graduate of Delphi High School. Jack owned and operated Cohee Farm Drainage Inc., and then became Cohee Excavating for many years, serving Carroll County and other surrounding counties, before retiring. Jack was a U.S. Army Veteran, serving his country for 4 years, and was honorably discharged after his service. He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Delphi. He was a former member of the IOOF Lodge #28 in Delphi, and the Camden Lions Club, where he volunteered his time and equipment during the annual Camden Tractor Pull. He would always be in his front-end loader adding weight to the sled and working the track. Jack enjoyed playing bridge and euchre card games with his family and friends. And later in life, he adopted his pet cat Kit, to which he was very fond of. Jack loved his family and grandchildren and enjoyed being with them. Surviving: daughter-Leigh M. Jeter of Indianapolis, daughter-Kim & Dorje Stewart of Tucson, AZ, his son-William & Tina Cohee of Delphi. 8 grandchildren survive. He was preceded in death by a son-in-law Rick Jeter.
