Gary Remaly - Class Of 1962

Gary C. "Pete" Remaly, 70, of Stockwell died Thursday, January 1, 2015, at his residence.

He was born February 15, 1944, in Lafayette to the late Chester and Eva Hufford Remaly. Pete graduated from Delphi High School in 1962 and served in the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. Pete was a long haul and short haul Truck Driver for over 40 years. He enjoyed working on cars and was a member of the NHRA. He enjoyed racing at Bunker Hill Dragstrip. Pete liked shooting pool with friends and loved his cats Sweetie and Kitty.

Surviving are his daughters Bobbie J. Baker (William), Peetie R. Remaly all of of Lafayette, grandchildren Jesse Marvin, Danielle Marvin, Brock Baker, Brooke Baker, Haleigh Fee, Dominik Fee, a great-grandson Logan Marvin and his sister Carol Derringer-White (Jack) of Livermore, CA. Also surviving is a niece Misty Rose (Paul) of Livermore, CA and his former wife Brenda Howe of Rossville.

Visitation will be 12:30 to 1:30 PM Monday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel, 400 Twyckenham Blvd. Funeral service will be 1:30 Monday at Soller-Baker Lafayette Chapel. Interment will be at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in Pete's memory to Natalie's Second Chance.
