Mitchell Tyler - Class Of 2004

Mitchell A. "Mitch" Tyler, 23, of 322 E. Franklin St., Delphi, died unexpectedly on July 29, 2006, at his residence.
Born in Lafayette on June 1, 1983, he was the son of Eldon Tyler and the late Ruth A. Embrey. He graduated from Delphi Community High School in 2004.
Mr. Tyler formerly worked for Mold Tech in Delphi for two years, and at Swifty Gas Station in Delphi, for two months.
He enjoyed Frisbee golf, and belonged to the Professional Disc Golf Association, participating in tournaments in surrounding areas. He also enjoyed water activities, fishing and music.
Surviving is his maternal grandfather who raised him, David "Red" Embrey of Monticello; his father of Rossville; three aunts, Marie Embrey and Dana Waye (husband: Terry), all of Delphi and Kathy Day of Cutler; an uncle, David L. Embrey II of Monticello; his paternal grandmother, Marie Maxwell of Rossville; his paternal grandfather, John Tyler of Georgia; and nine cousins, Candy, Jeff, Melissa, JD, Jarrett, Tyler, Tayva, Aaron and Alexis Kay.
He was preceded in death by his maternal grandmother Martha Embrey.
Friends may call today from 5 to 8 p.m. at Abbott Funeral Home in Delphi. Service will be there Thursday at 11 a.m., with Rev. Ed Selvidge officiating. Burial will be at Hopewell Cemetery in Michigantown.
