Margaret Elizabeth “Peg” (Lee) Hayden, 81, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, November 26, 2024 at IU Arnett Hospital. She was born on January 28, 1943 to the late Willard H. and Kathleen (Goheen) Lee in South Bend, IN.

She graduated from Delphi High School and attended Beauty College. On January 21, 1961 she married Edgar “Ed” Hayden at the Delphi Methodist Church and they had two boys; Thomas Lee Hayden of Kalamazoo, MI and Timothy Paul Hayden of South Bend, IN. She worked alongside her husband as a manager for the Golf Pro Shop in Valparaiso, IN. Margaret and Ed moved to Bonita Springs, FL, where she was employed as a beautician and store manager for Beauty Alliance.

Margaret enjoyed sewing and reading in her free time. More than anything, she enjoyed sharing positive outlooks of life with people that she interacted with.

Along with her husband and children, she is survived by her sister, Susan Yoder of Avon, IN, seven grandchildren; Bailey, Gwendolyn, Sloane, Brock, Violet, Zane, and Laura; and great grandchild, Malik.

She is preceded in death by her parents and sister, Rosemary (Lee) Hess.

A memorial visitation will take place on Tuesday, December 10, 2024 from 10-11 a.m. at Hippensteel Funeral Home with a memorial service starting at 11.
