Rosemary Lee (Hess) - Class Of 1966

Rosemary Lee (Hess)

Rosemary wanted to be a teacher from the time she was old enough to voice an opinion. She practiced teaching her dolls, her pets, her little sister -  anything that would sit still for 5 minutes was fair game.

After graduation from DCHS, Rosemary attended Indiana University - Bloomington campus. Rosemary graduated from IU with a BA in Elementary Education. She worked as a classroom teacher and obtained a Master's in Special Education, also from IU. Rosemary's last teaching position was working with emotionally disadvantaged students in Martinsville, IN.

Rosemary and John Hess were married (Delphi UMC) in 1968 and raised their two daughters, Carrie Suzanne and Emily Christine Hess in Southern Indiana.

In 1986, Rosemary was diagnosed with lobular breast cancer and died the following year at age 39, in Bloomington, IN.

John Hess, Carrie Buck (Madison, Marina, Peyton), Emily and Greg Gude (Austin) reside near the Placentia/Yorba Linda/ Brea area in California.

. Services for Rosemary Jean Lee Hess, 39, of Bloomington were Sunday. The former teacher and resident of Delphi died Thursday in Bloomington Hospital.
