Michael Lynn Powell, 47, of Rensselaer, died Thursday, June 17, 2010, at his home.
  He was born in Lafayette on July 4, 1962, and formerly lived there and in Wolcott and had lived in Rensselaer for 14 years.  Mike graduated from Delphi High School in 1980, attended Ivy Tech and received his bachelor's degree from Indiana Wesleyan University.
  Mr. Powell was a certified public accountant and owner of Powell & Associates.
  He married Stacey Brunk in Rensselaer on Oct. 26, 1996, and she survives.
  Mr. Powell was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church of Rensselaer and the A.I.C.P.A.
  Surviving with his wife are four children, Lindsay Gilmore (husband: James) of Lafayette, Lauren Powell and Bryce Powell, at home, and Amy Powell of Wisconsin; his parents, Harold and Mabel Powell, and two brothers, Tony Powell and Steve Powell, all of Delphi.
