Ricky Lee "Rick" Griffith, 39, of Delphi, was found dead at 6 p.m. Oct. 12, 1997, in rural Carroll County.
  Born June 29, 1958, in Lafayette, he was the son of Lloyd W. and Ethel M. Shockley Griffith.
  He was a general contractor and had owned and operated Griffith Construction in Delphi for the past 20 years.
  He attended Delphi schools and later completed his General Equivalency Diploma.
  Surviving are his father, of Delphi; a daughter, Ricki Jo Griffith, and a son, Rusty Lee Griffith, both at home in Delphi; two sisters, Molly I. Garrison and Dianna R. Johnson, both of Delphi; a brother, James L. Griffith of Pendleton; and a maternal grandmother, Mabel I. Shockley of Delphi.
  Private family services and burial will be held, with Pastor William Breidenbaugh officiating.  Abbott Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
  Memorials may be made to the Muscular Dystrophy Association in memory of his mother.
