Alan D. Minnicus, 23, of Delphi, died at 7:40 p.m. July 6, 2002 at Home Hospital, Lafayette.
  Born May 20, 1979, in Lafayette, he was the son of Gordon and Kim Jenkins Minnicus.
  He had resided in the Delphi community all his life and was a 1997 graduate of Delphi Community High School.
  He was a farm worker.
  Mr. Minnicus was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi.  He enjoyed working on trucks and antique tractors, and he collected John Deere miniature tractors.
  Surviving with his parents, of Delphi, are his companion, Becca Brown; a son, Brandt Minnicus; two sisters, Amy and Cindy Minnicus, of Delphi; his maternal grandparents, Jerry and Sandy Jenkins, paternal grandparents, Charles and Teresa Minnicus, and maternal great-grandmother, Edith Isaacs, all of Delphi.
  Services were today (Wednesday) at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Peter Vanderkolk officiating.
Burial was in Morning Heights Cemetery, Delphi.  Abbott Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.  Memorials may be made to Riley Children's Hospital.
