
Joseph James Spitznagle, 37, of rural Camden, died unexpectedly Thursday morning, Dec 29, 2016, at his residence. He was born Nov 8, 1979 in Lafayette, to David & Terri Schock Spitznagle. He was a 1999 graduate of Delphi Community High School. He worked for The Anderson’s for 15 years, 9 years at their Ethanol Plant near Clymers, as a mechanical maintenance tech. He enjoyed coaching his daughter’s softball team, in her league at Camden. He loved to fish, camp, and mushroom hunt. He enjoyed sitting around a camp fire with his family and friends.
He dearly loved his two children. They were his life. Surviving: daughter-Kylynn N. Spitznagle of Delphi; son-David Tyler Spitznagle of Delphi; parents-David & Terri Spitznagle of Delphi; brother-Scott & Jamie Spitznagle of Delphi; maternal grandma-Linda Parrett of Camden; niece-Avery Spitznagle; nephew-Weston Spitznagle; aunts, uncles, & cousins.
Services: friends may call Tuesday from 4 - 8 p.m. at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Funeral service 11 a.m. there Wednesday, Rev. Ed Selvidge officiating.
