Charley E. Chalk, 46, Morrilton, Ark., formerly of Monticello, died July 9, 1988 following a lengthy illness. He was born in Arkansas on Jan. 31, 1942, the son of Amos and Cleba Presely Chalk. Chalk attended elementary school in Yeomen and graduated from Delphi High school in 1960. He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam Conflict. Surviving with the wife, Shirley, are one son, one daughter, his mother of Clinton, Ark.; two brothers including A.J. of Delphi; two sisters and one granddaughter. Services and burial are today in Higden, Ark.
