John Hafey

John "Chick" C. Hafey, 65, of Fort Wayne, died Monday, June 2, 2008, at his residence.
  Born Jan. 1, 1943 in Monticello, he was the son of Jack and Barbara Black Hafey.  He married Pamela England on Oct. 5, 1985, in Delphi, and she survives.
  Mr. Hafey was a 1961 graduate of Delphi High School and served in the U.S. Army.
  He was employed by Samll Parks in Logansport for 23 years, retiring in 2003.  He was a supervisor.
  Following his retirement, he and his wife moved to Fort Wayne, where they have resided for four years.  Prior to moving there he had lived 19 years in Delphi.
  Mr. Hafey was an avid golfer and enjoyed woodworking.
  Surviving with his wife are a daughter, Michelle Hafey, of Wilmington, N.C.; two step-daughters, Renee Hammond of Fort Wayne and Lori Sustarsic of Lafayette; a stepson, Perry Rennewanz of Logansport; a brother, Dennis Hafey of Emporia, Va.; a sister, Karen Stewart of Delphi; a half brother, Jim Gates of Port Lucie, Fla.; two grandsons, Victor Hammond of Fort Wayne and Zyon Rennewanz of Logansport; and two granddaughters, Arianne Hammond of Fort Wayne and Cessa Rennewanz of Logansport.
  He was preceded in death by a sister, Betty Brown.
  Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday at Cree Funeral Home, Camden.  Jay Hammond will officiate.  Burial will be at a later date at St. John's Cemetery, Logansport.  Calling will be from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.

Reed McCormick (1961)

"Chick", Bless you my brother. I remember you from our days working at Miller's Mill and the great sense of humor you had and were always willing to share. I remember fondly the time we went to Indiana Beach and how many times you would tell the same joke but always laugh each time you told it (them). You are indeed missed. Reed (Snooks) McCormick
