Donald Huffman

Funeral services for Donald J. Huffman, 34, of Rt. 4, Columbia City, formerly of Delphi, were Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home, Delphi.  Burial was in the Masonic Cemetery with military graveside services.
  Huffman died instantly of injuries received in a two-vehicle collision at Columbia City at 9:44 p.m. Wednesday, September 14, 1977.
  Born May 2, 1943, at Indianapolis, he was the son of Donald M. and Betty Spotts Huffman.  He was married in 1967 to Gloria Garrison, who died in 1970.  His second marriage was April 29, 1972, to Ann Moore of Flora, who survives.
  A 1961 graduate of Delphi High School, he completed an aviation electronics course while serving in the U.S. Navy.
  Huffman was employed at Fairfield Manufacturing Company, Lafayette, before moving to Chicago where he was plant superintendent at the United Filtration Company.  He moved to Columbia City three years ago and assumed the position of plant manager of the White Automotive Company.
  He was a member of the American Legion Harry Bohannon Post No. 75, Delphi, and of the Columbia City Elks Lodge.
  Surviving with the wife and parents of Delphi are one son, Donald Todd Huffman, at home; one step-son, Brent Hogan, at home; one sister, Mrs. Bill (Judy) Schock of Delphi, and a grandmother, Mrs. Lois Spotts of Logansport.
