Marlene S. Cain, 52, of Delphi, died at 6 p.m. Feb. 22, 1999, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center. She had been a patient there for four and a half years. Born Jan. 10, 1947, she was the daughter of Clarence and Vera Seedorf Cain. She was a 1965 graduate of Delphi High School and worked at the registrar’s office at Purdue University for 26 years. She retired in 1992 due to ill health. She enjoyed reading, traveling, knitting, needlepoint, and cross-stitching. Surviving are her mother, of Delphi; two sisters, Delores Wilson of Lafayette and Kay Henry of Delphi; and a brother, Roger D. Cain of Lafayette. She was preceded in death by her father. Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. Nord Zootman officiating. Visitation will be today from 4-8 p.m. Burial will be in IOOF Memorial Gardens, Delphi.
