Cynthia S. Tyler, 55, of Lafayette, died at 12:45 p.m. on Aug. 12, 2003, in St. Elizabeth Medical Center. She had been ill since February 2002. Born Nov. 13, 1947, in Lafayette, she graduated from Delphi High School and Fort Wayne Business College. She lived in New York and Alaska, and returned to Lafayette in 1988. Mrs. Tyler worked at Lafayette Bank and Trust since 1992, as a trust corporate assistant. She was on the Jazz and Blues Festival committee in Lafayette. She enjoyed sewing and crafts. Surviving are two sons, Shane M. Howard of West Lafayette and Joshua R. Tyler of Lafayette; three daughters, Kelley N. Brakstad of London, England, Antigone Gregory of Oregon, and Ashleigh R. Tyler of Lafayette; her mother, Fern Pearson of Delphi; and two grandchildren. Services were Aug. 16 in Lafayette.
