Michael Storey

Michael Lee "Mike" Storey, 70, of Pittsburg, died Thursday-Apr 12, 2018, at his home. He had been in ill health for several years. He was born Apr 21, 1947 in Delphi, to the late Nessie Lee & Susie Jane Flick Storey. His marriage was to Katherine S. Walters at the Sitka Baptist Church, on July 16, 1966, and she survives. He graduated from Pittsburg School in 1965. He worked for 20 years as a welder at the former Lox Equipment (now Alloy Custom Products) and was a supervisor. He attended the former Pittsburg Church of the Brethren, and the First Assembly of God Church too.  He was a founding member of the ABOLALIFIA Motorcycle Club, and enjoyed riding. He loved auto mechanics, and his many hot rods he built. He enjoyed woodworking, fishing and hunting. He loved the outdoors, and enjoyed traveling. He liked NASCAR, and his favorite driver was the late Dale Earnhardt. His greatest joy was his wife and children, and all of the time they spent together. Then later in life his grand & great grandchildren, he dearly loved them all. Surviving: wife-Katherine S. Storey of Pittsburg; daughter-Tammy & Brody McClain of Delphi; sons-Shane Storey & Sheryl Starks of Lafayette, Jeffery S. Storey & Joyce Howard of Monticello; grandchildren: Dustin Storey; Ciera Storey; Caydence, Bray & Jayden McClain; great grandchildren: Jazzlyn, JJ, & Tesla Storey; sister-Sandra Mummert of Kokomo; best friend-Bobby Yates of Florida; Preceded in death by a sister & 2 brother's. Services: Friends may call Wednesday from 10am until his funeral service at 12pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Pastor Brent Oliver officiating.
