Thomas Flora

Thomas E. Flora, 68, of Delphi passed away on May 28, 2017 on his farm. He was born in Lafayette, Indiana on April 16, 1949 to the late Lee F. and Helen E. (Jones) Flora. He was a 1967 graduate of Delphi High School. He had attended Purdue University.

He married Patricia K. (Sheagley) George on December 31, 2001 in Delphi and she survives.

Mr. Flora was owner and operator of Flora Farms in Delphi.

He was a member of the Carroll County Agriculture Hall of Fame, Delphi United Methodist Church, IOOF #28, and had served for over 40 years on the REMC board and was a long standing and current president.

He enjoyed riding his Harley, vacationing in Key West, FL, watching Purdue football, playing Euchre, and visiting with family and friends.

Along with his wife, Patricia, he is survived by his daughters: Chris Flora (Jerry Gygi) of Fishers, Gwen Flora (Dave Myers) of Phoenix, Arizona, Becky Flora of Tustin, CA; step-sons: Derrick George (Shena) of Cutler, Brett George (Tennille Turner) of Camden; brother, Carol Flora (Jan) of Delphi, sister, Phyllis Shoff (Dean) of Flora; 5 step-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded by his parents and infant sister, Sharon.

Visitation will be at Davidson Funeral Home from 4-8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, May 31, 2017. Funeral Services will be on June 1, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Davidson Funeral Home with Pastor Todd Ladd officiating. Burial will follow in Zion Citizens Cemetery, Bringhurst.

Memorials in Tom’s memory may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association or the donor’s favorite charity.
