Kenneth DeWit

Kenneth DeWit, Jr., 64, of Colburn passed away on November 30, 2014 at IU Health Arnett in Lafayette. Mr. DeWit was born on July 23, 1950 in Logansport to the late Kenneth DeWit, Sr. and Wanda (Deadorff) Robinson. He attended Delphi Schools.

Mr. DeWit served in the US Army from December 1969 – December 1970 as a Pointman in the 173 Airborne “The Herd” in Vietnam.

Kenneth married Joyce (Neff) Shaw on October 8, 2010 in Las Vegas, Nevada.

He loved animals and cherished his grandchildren. He enjoyed the many hours Facebooking with his friends and fellow Veterans.

Along with his wife, Joyce, he is survived by his son, Jonathan Scott, Austin, Texas; step-children: David Shaw, Kokomo, Holly Shaw, Lafayette, Tina Buchanan, Indianapolis; 9 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren and his brother, Danny Henderson of Delphi. He was preceded by a brother, George Maxwell.

Viewing will be from 9:30 a.m. until the 10:30 a.m. service on Saturday, December 6, 2014 at Davidson Funeral Home, Delphi. Pastor John Wagner will officiate. Military Rites by the Carroll County Honor Guard.
