Thomas Eugene Fountain, 67, La Porte, passed away on Sunday, March 11, 2018, at La Porte Hospital. 
Thomas was born in Logansport on Oct. 8, 1950, to Edgar "Bud" and Jean Carolyn (Landes) Fountain. 
 Thomas graduated from Delphi High School and Ball State University. He was past President of Fountain Farm, Inc. where he worked with his father, Bud and brother, Joe.  He later worked for the State of Indiana.
Thomas was a member of many different community organizations.  As a father, he took the kids to the indoor pool every winter. He was an avid fan of the Indy 500 and the Cubs. He loved to play cards and going to the county fair. In his last few years, Thomas cherished his time with his kids renovating his home and planting his own urban farm. He especially enjoyed time with his grandkids.   
Surviving are his beloved children, Ann Marie Fountain, La Porte, Melinda Jean (Thomas Cumbow) Fountain, Granger, and Mark Thomas (Laura) Fountain, Palos Heights, Ill.; four grandchildren, David, Margaret, Eloise Ann, and Henry; brothers, Joe Dean (Elizabeth) Fountain, Lafayette, and Donald Lee (Linda) Fountain Sr., Louisville, Ky.; sister, Carol Jean (David) Miller, Brookston; and his former wife, Margaret B. Fountain, La Porte. 
He was preceded in death by his parents.
 A time of visitation will be held from 5 - 8 p.m. CST on Thursday and from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. on Friday at Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. CST on Friday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.
Burial will take place at 2 p.m. CST at Pleasant Run Cemetery in Carroll County.
 Cremation has taken place with Cutler Funeral Home and Cremation Center, La Porte.
