James Harris

James Terry Harris, 36, of Monticello died at 12:15 a.m. Oct. 31, 1987 at his residence.
  He was born Oct. 14, 1951 in Haleyville, Ala.  His marriage was Sept. 20, 1969 in Delphi to Jackie Bowers, who survives.
  He worked as a supervisor in shipping and receiving at Underhill Industries, Delphi, for the last two months.  Previously, he was a truck driver for C.R.S.T. Truck Lines in Cedar Rapids, Iowa.
  He attended Delphi Community High School and was a Vietnam veteran.  He served in the Marine Corps from 1971-1974.
  He attended the Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church near Delphi.
  Surviving with the wife are one son, James Terry "Jamie" Harris, Jr., at home; his father and stepmother, Wallace James and Marilyn Harris of Delphi; his mother and stepfather, Bobbie and Mathew Javonovich of Roseville, Mich.; a sister, Donna Kay Stevens of Delphi; a half-sister, Debbie Poindexter of Mayfield, Ky.; two half-brothers, Wallace J. "Joe" Harris, Jr. and Robert Junior Harris, both of Delphi; a stepsister, Lela Mac Boyles of Delphi, and a maternal grandmother, Lillie Ann Harbin of Alabama.
  Services will be a 2 p.m. today (Wednesday) at Horn Funeral Home with Pastor Alfred Smith officiating.  Burial with military rites, will be at Riverview Cemetery, Monticello.
