Dennis E. Peters, 49, Delphi, died unexpectedly Jan. 16, 2000.

  Born May 26, 1950, in Logansport, he was the son of Wilhelm and Nellie Hathaway Peters, who survive in Delphi.  He was married in February 1979, at Rantoul, Ill., to Janet Salter, who died Sept. 3, 1983.

  A 1968 graduate of Delphi Community High School, he attended Manchester College for two years.  Mr. Peters received a degree in respiratory therapy from Ivy Tech.  A paramedic, he served four years in the United States Air Force as a medic during Vietnam War.  He attended Rockfield Christian Church, and was employed at Indiana Packers in Delphi.

  Also surviving are one son, Jeffrey Peters of Ft. Gordon, Ga.; two brothers, Earl Peters of Delphi, and Dale Peters of Camden; a sister, Delores Snavely of Camden.  Two sisters and a brother preceded him in death.

  Services were Friday at Cree Funeral Home, with Pastor Bob Cree officiating.  Burial was in Camden Cemetery.
