Bennie Nelson Felthoff, 75, of Lafayette, Indiana, passed away on July 15, 2026. Born on May 8, 1951, in Lafayette, he was the son of the late Charles Laverne and Rosalie (Bowerman) Felthoff.
A proud 1969 graduate of Delphi Community High School, Bennie honorably served four years in the United States Navy as a Seabee before beginning a distinguished 41-year career at Alcoa Aluminum. As a proud member of the United Steelworkers Union, he earned the respect of his coworkers through his strong work ethic, integrity, and willingness to help others.
Bennie was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. He found joy in golfing, fishing, traveling, cooking, and spending time with those he loved. Whether lending a helping hand, sharing a meal with family, or offering a kind word, Bennie's generosity and compassion left a lasting impression on everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife of more than 25 years, Judith "Judy" Kay Felthoff; his children, Mandy Felthoff and Jeremy Felthoff, both of Delphi; his grandchildren and great-grandchildren; his sister, Kathy (Thomas) Wiles; and his nieces, Angela (Gerald) Wiles Elder and Jamie (Bryan) Wiles Oberholtzer.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Laverne and Rosalie (Bowerman) Felthoff, and his beloved son, Chad Felthoff.
Bennie will be remembered for his kindness, humility, unwavering work ethic, and the love he shared with his family and friends. His legacy lives on in the countless lives he touched and the memories that will forever be cherished by those who knew and loved him.
A Celebration of Life honoring Bennie will be announced at a later date.
