Barbara Jean Fife, 51, of West Lafayette, formerly of Delphi, died at 9:05 p.m. June 18, 2002, at St. Elizabeth Medical Center, Lafayette.
  Born Oct. 10, 1950, in Logansport, she was the daughter of Paul E. and Mary Ann Welch Fife.
  She graduated in 1969 from Delphi Community High School and St. Elizabeth School of Nursing.
  Miss Fife worked as a registered nurse at St. Clare Healthcare in Otterbein.
  She was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church in West Lafayette.
  She collected dolls and books.
  Surviving are one sister, Madonna Kay Fletcher of Saybrook, Ill., and two brothers, Steven Fife of Mooresville and Michael Fife of Delphi.  She was preceded in death by her parents and a sister.
  Private graveside services were held June 22 at St. Joseph Cemetery, Delphi, with Father Peter Vanderkolk officiating.  Memorial contributions may be made to the Carroll County Cancer Association or the Tippecanoe County Humane Society.
