Yolonda Miller - Class Of 1969

Yolonda Miller

Yolonda Kay Miller, daughter of David and Norma (Angle) Miller was born January 29, 1951 in Carroll County, Indiana. Yolonda was a member of the Old German Baptist Brethren Church, Oak Hill District which she faithfully supported till she was called home to be with her Lord. On November 1, 1971 she began her journey to Virginia where she had accepted an invitation to live in the home of Glenn and Virginia Boone. She appreciated her home away from home, where the Boone family accepted her as a special part of their family. In June of 2016, she was diagnosed with cancer. She bore this with acceptance and submission. We, her family and her church family, were privileged to travel with her and assist on this year long journey, which ended as she took her flight to her heavenly home on July 5, 2017 in her home in Rocky Mount, Virginia. Yolonda will be fondly remembered by her four sisters and their companions, Iris (Robert) Weber, Renee (Lee) Wallace, Rita (Ervin) Miller, Lou Anna (Stephen) Hufford, 15 nieces and nephews, and 26 great nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brother, Rodney and a great nephew. Funeral services will be conducted at Oak Hill Old German Baptist Brethren Church, 9:00 a.m. Saturday, July 8, 2017 with The Home Brethren officiating.
