Rebecca Anne Welch, 45, of Wauseon, died April 1, 1997, at Waterford Commons in Toledo, after an extended illness. Prior to her illness she was a special education teacher.

She was born in Versailles, Kentucky on September 13, 1951 to William and Lois E. (Hartley) Welch. She was a member of the First Church of God in Wauseon.

Surviving is her father and step-mother, William and Ann Welch, Wauseon; two sisters, Carla Sue Corkle, Wauseon and Gloria Marie Welch, of O'Fallon, Missouri; three step-brothers, Jeff and Greg Mull of Wauseon and Gordon Mull, of Bloomfield Hills, Mi.; one step-sister, LuAnn Mull of Wauseon; one niece and one nephew.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Lois.

Funeral services were Friday, April 4, at the First Church of God, Wauseon, with the Rev. John Stahl officiating.
