Steven Cox - Class Of 1969

Steven Clinton Cox, 65, formerly of Delphi, died Thurs.-Aug. 13, 2015 at 2:35 (CDT) at his home near Goodland. He had battled cancer. He was born May 7, 1950 to the late Richard & Berdie Storey Cox. His marriage was to Bonnie J. Secrest, at the Delphi Pentecostal Church, on Dec. 25, 1976, and she survives. He attended Delphi Community High School. He worked at the former Gerber Globe Valve in Delphi from Nov. 1970 to Sept. 2003, and belonged to the Local UAW there. He enjoyed music and playing his guitar. He enjoyed working on cars, and woodworking. He loved his cat Smoke. His greatest joy was his wife, children, grandchildren, sisters & brothers, and all of his extended family and many friends. He dearly loved them all. Surviving: wife-Bonnie J. Cox of Goodland; daughters: Stephanie & Shawn Whitaker of Otterbein, & Amanda Cox of Fort Wayne; sons: Micky Cox & Adam Cox, both of Goodland; sisters: Mary Harris of Haleyville, AL, Jean Reed of Delphi, Judith & Robert Ingram of Delphi; brothers: Richard & Ruth Cox of Delphi, Kenneth & Laura Cox of Monticello, Bill Cox of Delphi; 2 grandchildren: Jocelyn Renee & Nathaniel James Whitaker. Preceded by a inf. sister Jane Cox. Services: Friends may call Sunday 3-6pm at Abbott Funeral Home, Inc., Delphi. Funeral there Monday 1pm, Chaplain Bob Rawlins officiating.
