LIBERTYVILLE- William Paul Crook, 80, Army Veteran, passed away March 11th at his home with his family by his side. Mr. Crook was born in 1933 in Delphi, IN. Bill was a proud US veteran serving his country during the Korean War. He was stationed in Korea and Japan while assigned to the 919th Engineering Aviation Maintenance Company to inspect and repair all construction machinery being used by the Battalions. While living in Libertyville, Bill was a parishioner of Saint Joseph Catholic Church. He is fondly remembered for chaperoning with his much adored wife Mary at every Woodlands Academy school dance for a number of years. Bill was a friend to many and will be dearly missed. Bill is survived by his beloved wife Mary of 37 years of marriage; his adored children Craig (Lola) Crook, Timothy (Ria) Crook, Matthew (Mary Catherine) Staley, Cheryl (Michael) Baltzer and Christopher (Ann) Staley; Bill was the proud grandfather of 13 and great-grandfather of 2; his much cherished 11 nieces and nephews; and the loving brother of Mildred Webb and Rita Murray. Bill is preceded in death by his parents Paul and Dortha Crook; his first wife the late Loleen Crook; his brother Gerald Crook; his brothers-in-law Durward Webb and George Moeller. Funeral services for Bill will be held Monday March 17 at 11 am at McMurrough Funeral Chapel, 101 Park Place, Libertyville (Rt 176, 1 block East of Milwaukee Ave).
