John P. Elston, 77, of Hot Springs Village, AR passed away on Monday June 27, 2016. John was born December 28, 1938 in Lafayette, Indiana to the late Thomas and Pearl (Hills) Elston.

John was an independent farmer in Carroll County IN for many years prior to moving to Hot Springs Village. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, traveling, wildlife, nature and reading.

He is survived by his wife Julie, his 2 children: daughter Teresa Papenmeier and husband David of Haslet TX, son David Elston and wife Marcia of Flower Mound TX, grandchildren Rachel, Ryan and Reid Papenmeier, Emma and Kate Elston, great-grandchild Henri Olmeda, and John’s sister Helen Spence of Sharpsville, IN.

A private service will be held to remember and celebrate John’s life.
