Wayne E. Johnson, 79, Arlington, Texas, passed away into eternal life Monday, Aug. 15, 2011, after a brief illness. Service: A private service will be held in Brookston, Ind., at a later date. Wayne was born July 20, 1932, in Flora, Ind., to Merritt and Alta Johnson. Although a farmer by trade, he retired from the Marion General Motors plant in Marion, Ind. He was a Korean War veteran aboard the USS Menard. Preceding him in death was his beloved wife, Dorothy. Survivors: Children, Terri (Bill) Pearcy, Bruce Johnson (Shelley) and Mark Johnson; grandchildren, whom he loved very much, Samantha Allensworth (Tim), Benjamin Pearcy (Jesse), Jessica Johnson, Joshua Wayne Johnson and Bruce Wayne Johnson Jr.; siblings, Norma Burton and Willis Johnson (Betty); and numerous nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews.
