Thom Loveless

Thomas Lee Loveless, 77, of Lafayette, died at 9:25 a.m. Tuesday, Aug. 9, 2011, in Regency Place.

Born Dec. 2, 1933, in Carroll County, to the late Gorman Lee and Esther McDonald Loveless, he was a 1951 graduate of Delphi High School.

He married Ruth Evelyn Furst on Sept. 21, 1951 in Delphi, and she survives.

In 1959, he became owner and operator the Loveless Agency where he was an independent agent. The Loveless Agency later became Loveless Realty, which he operated until his retirement in 1998. He worked for Eli Lilly from 1953 to 1959. He also was a self-published author of the book "Secrets of a Realtor."

Mr. Loveless was a member of Eastside Assembly of God and a former member of the First Assembly of God. He was a member of the NRA, the Full Gospel Business Men's Fellowship, and the National Board of Realtors. He enjoyed golf, target shooting, bowling and fishing.

Surviving with his wife, Ruth, of Lafayette, are five sons, Gary Loveless (wife: Linda) of Indianapolis, Stephen Loveless (wife: Margaret) of Maplewood, Minn., Dr. Joel Loveless of Norwalk, Iowa, Doug Loveless (wife: Renee) of Lafayette, and Mark Loveless (wife: Beth) of Noblesville.

Also surviving are grandchildren, Tauscha Snyder, Jennifer Spears, Amanda Thomas, Brandon Loveless, Lisa Jill Loveless, Maureen Regnier, Christa Krell, Micah Loveless, Aslynn Maudlin, Jasie Loveless, Sonya Loveless, Jacob Fanzini, Hannah Fanzini, Michael Loveless, Amanda Loveless, Sgt. Paul Elliott, Heather Elliott and Ryan Loveless; and 11 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by an infant brother.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, Aug. 13, at Eastside Assembly of God Church, 6121 East 50 South, Lafayette, with services there at 2 p.m. with Pastor Steve Covert officiating. Entombment at Rest Haven Memorial Park. Arrangements entrusted to Fisher-Loy Funeral Chapel.
