Joe Henderson - Class Of 1930

 Joe R. Henderson, 69, 705 Riley Road, Delphi, died at 8:35 p.m. Thursday, December 16, 1982, at St. Elizabeth Hospital, Lafayette.  He had been in ill health for five years and hospitalized for one week.
  Born in Tippecanoe Township, Carroll County, February 15, 1913, he was the son of William Lee and Hattie Hufty Henderson.  His marriage, August 22, 1934, in Delphi was to Martha Duff.
  Mr. Henderson was a retired farmer and was Soil Conservation Service Technician in Delphi for 14 years, retiring in 1979.  He was a 1930 graduate of Delphi High School and a former member of the Odd Fellows Lodge in Delphi and of the Radnor United Methodist Church.  He was an active member of the Delphi United Methodist Church.
  Surviving with the wife are two daughters, JoEtta Flora Rt. 4, Delphi, and Mrs. James (Judy) Goddard, Ft. Wayne; one brother, Marvin Henderson, Delphi, two sisters, Mrs. Jesse (Vivian) Hoover, New Paris and Mrs. Kenneth (Gladys) Miller, Delphi; seven grandchildren and four great grandchildren.  One grandchild preceded in death.
  Services were at 2 p.m. Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home with Rev. Donald Ashley officiating. Burial was in Masonic Cemetery.
