Naomi Isaacs (Martin) - Class Of 1930

Naomi was married to Zollie Martin in 1930.

She passed away August 9, 1998, in Delphi, IN, after a long illness.  She is sadly missed by family and friends and daughter, LaNeta K. Slater & family.

   Naomi E. Martin, 86, of Delphi, died at 8:52 a.m. Aug. 9, 1998, in St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi, where she had resided the past four years.
  Born March 6, 1912, in Rockfield, she was the daughter of Tolen and Effie Tribbett Isaacs.  She was married on Sept. 6, 1930, in Delphi, to Zollie A. Martin, who preceded her in death on July 14, 1970.
  She and her husband owned the former Zollie's Grocery Store on North Wilson Street in Delphi for many years.
  Mrs. Martin was a member of Pittsburg Church of the Brethren and attended First Apostolic Church in Delphi.  She was also a member of the Deer Creek Extension Homemakers Club and was active in the W.C.T.U.
  She graduated from Delphi High School in 1930.
  Surviving are a daughter, LaNeta "Kay" Slater of LaGrange, Ga., three grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter.  Two sisters and two brothers preceded her in death.
  Services were today, Wednesday, at Horn Funeral Home, Delphi, with Pastor Nord Zootman and Pastor Gilbert Ingram officiating.  Burial was in Morning Heights Cemetery, Delphi.
  Memorials may be made to the American Lung Association or to the Carroll County Cancer Association.
