Ruth Kempf Allen, 80, formerly of 409 N. Washington St., Delphi, died at 2:15 a.m. May 23, 1993, at St. Elizabeth Healthcare Center, Delphi, where she had resided for the past 11 months.
  Born July 20, 1912, in Delphi, she was the daughter of Matthias and Mary Massick Kempf.  Her marriage was on Oct. 17, 1946, in Delphi, to Dale Allen, who died June 29, 1970.
  She had worked at various restaurants in Delphi, including the Delphinium Restaurant, where she worked for 13 years, retiring in 1970.
  She attended St. Joseph School for eight years and then graduated from Delphi High School in 1930.
  She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi, the church's Altar and Rosary Society, and Delphi American Legion Auxiliary.
  Surviving are one sister, Anna McGreevey of Crawfordsville.  She was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
  Services were Tuesday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Father Donald Hardebeck officiating.  Burial was in Zion Cemetery, Rt. 2, Flora.
  Horn Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
