Margaret Sieber (Bowker) - Class Of 1930

Margaret L. Sieber Bowker, 92, died at 1:45 p.m. Oct. 27, 2004, at Parkview Hospital in Fort Wayne. Born June 26, 1912, in Delphi, she was the daughter of Charles and Floss Stewart Sieber. She graduated from Delphi High School in 1930, and later graduated from International Business College. On Aug. 4, 1934, she was married in Fort Wayne to Harold J. Bowker. The couple spent the early years of their marriage in Fort Wayne, and then lived most of their married lives on the family farm in Eel River Township before moving to Huntertown in 1881. He preceded her in death on May 29, 1986. She retired in 1967 as a clerk for Town and Country Foods in Fort Wayne. She was a member of the Wesley Chapel United Methodist Church and United Methodist Women. Surviving are one daughter, Rosalie Bowker, a missionary in South Korea; three sons, Gerald "Jerry" (wife: Carol) Bowker of Kendallville, Robert (wife: Kayleen) Bowker of Roanoke, and John (wife: Laura) Bowker of West Lafayette; five sisters, Helen Akers of Kansas City, Mo., Charlene Porter of Lafayette, Delores Thomson of Delphi, Joan Rule of Lafayette, and Joyce Goslee of Yeoman; 12 grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. Following services Oct. 30, burial was in Greenlawn Memorial Park, Fort Wayne.
