Earl T. Powell, 79, of Lafayette, formerly of Delphi, died Oct. 14, 1991, in St. Elizabeth Hospital.
  He was born May 21, 1912, in Delphi, the son of John Edward and Lenna Mae Craig Powell.  He was married to Dorothy Gipson on March 25, 1967.  She survives.
  He was a 1931 graduate of Delphi High School and had farmed for many years in Carroll County retiring in 1960.  He operated Lake Cicott Shores from 1969 until 1985.
  Powell had served on the board of directors of Schwab Safe in Lafayette for 24 years and was a former director of the Carroll County Farm Bureau Co-op.  He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Delphi.
  One brother and one sister preceded in death.
  Services were today at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. Ellis Gasser officiating.  Burial was in Maple Lawn Cemetery, Flora.
