Arline Wanda Bowman, 96, of Bloomington passed away at Garden Villa Health Care Center on Thursday morning, September 29, 2011. Wanda was born on August 3, 1915 in Oakley, Indiana to Philip and Nora (Loy) Hemmig. She was a retired real estate broker and realtor and worked for the former Mayor of Lafayette and Mayor of West Lafayette. She was a member of the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Delphi, Indiana. She is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Richard) Post of Bloomington; sister, Louise H. Baer of Indianapolis; and brother, R. Brian Hemmig of Chapel Hill, NC. She was preceded in death by her parents, 3 brothers and 5 sisters. A Graveside funeral mass for Wanda will be held at Zion Citizens Cemetery in Flora, Indiana on Monday, October 3, 2011 at 1:00 p.m. with Father Peter Vanderkolk officiating.
