Willis Hayden

WILLIS A. HAYDEN Willis Hayden was born on January 30, 1923 in Delphi (Carroll County) Indiana, the son of George W. and Mabel I Corn Hayden. He passed away on March 7, 2004 in Perlata, Valencia County, New Mexico. He graduated from Delphi Community High School on May 24, 1941 at the Delphi Armory. He was married at age 23 to Mary Lou Pearson, age 18 (DOB May 29, 1928) of Radnor, Indiana, the daughter of Scott Isaac ”Ike” and Fannie Mae (Kirkwood) Pearson on March 30, 1946 and separated August 13, 1949 with a divorce granted in November of that year, and she was given custody of the four minor children. Mary Lou and Willis reunited thereafter. After serving in the military, he lived in Ockley and later in Peru, Indiana and then relocated to New Mexico around 1952. He worked as a pipefitter in Farmington, New Mexico for Thomas Mechanical, Inc. for many years. Known children are: : daughter born January 3, 1948; Twins, Ellen Jo Hayden and Allen Eugene born in March of 1949; son, Thomas, born about 1951; and daughter, Katherine, born about 1952 His wife Mary Lou Hayden passed away in 2007.
