Rose Ann Vianco

Rose Ann Vianco, 90, of Lafayette, formerly of Indianapolis, IN. died at St. Elizabeth East Hospital 4:40 AM Friday January 10, 2014. Rose Ann was born in Delphi, IN. July 5, 1923, the daughter of the late William “Pete” and Margaret Becker Vianco. She was a 1941 graduate of Delphi High School and attended beauty college in Indianapolis. Rose Ann had worked as a beautician in Indianapolis for a time, but later was employed at Indiana Bell Telephone 31 years, retiring as a training supervisor. She was a member of the Telephone Pioneers of America; the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary at Delphi; enjoyed bowling, playing bingo and cards; trips to the Blue Chip Casino and to Las Vegas, and believed in hard work. Surviving is a sister, Dolorita “Rita” Gaunt of Lafayette and by two nieces, Judith Spohn and Gail Lynn Chadwell. She was preceded in death by a brother, Donald Vianco, and by two sisters, Alice Marie Stevens and Mary Louise DeWit. Friends may call at the Hahn-Groeber Funeral Home, 1104 Columbia St., Lafayette from 11:00 AM until the service at 1:00 PM Tuesday Jan. 14, Fr. Ambrose Ziegler officiating. Interment will follow at St. Joseph Cemetery, Delphi, IN. If friends desire. Memorials may be made to the charity of the donor’s choice.
