Dick Coble

Charles Richard "Dick" Coble, 46, of Lafayette died at 9:30 a.m. Monday at Home Hospital following a lingering illness.
  Born June 20, 1924, in Delphi, he was the son of LaRue and Etta Gipson Coble.
  He had been employed at the Ross Gear Division of T.R.W. at Lafayette.  He was a member of the United Methodist Church and American Legion Post No. 75 at Delphi.
  A graduate of Delphi High School and Indiana University, he was a member of Delta Tau Delta fraternity and was a veteran of World War II.
  His second marriage was December 24, 1969, to the former Artie Best, who survives with his mother, Mrs. Etta Coble, of Delphi; three sons, David, Mark and Jack, and five step-daughters, Phyllis, Sharon, Terry, Linda and Vickie Best, all at home.
  Services are today Thursday at 2 p.m. at Jackson Funeral Home, Delphi, with Pastor Marcus Lang officiating.  Burial will be in Hickory Grove Cemetery, north of Delphi.
