Dorothy Louise Cole (King)

Mrs. Dorothy L. King, 48, of Rt. 3, Warsaw, was killed instantly Saturday at 2 p.m. at U. S. 30 and Lakes Village Shopping Center at bypass on east edge of Warsaw. Her car reportedly was struck broadside by an auto coming out of the shopping center. Her daughter, Lana Marie King, a passenger in the car, is hospitalized in Warsaw. The two were to leave Monday on a trip to the Holy Land. Born September 26, 1924, at Delphi, she was the daughter of Russell and Ruth Marie Lowther Cole. Her marriage July 28, 1945, was to William King. She moved from Delphi to Warsaw in 1956. She was employed in Marsh Food Store. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Warsaw. Surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Larry (Marge) Christner of Warsaw and Miss Lana Marie King, at home; a sister, Mrs. Robert (Phyllis) Teel of Brookston; her father of Delphi; and grandmother, Mrs. Minnie Lowther of Delphi. Final rites were Tuesday morning at Titus Funeral Home in Warsaw with Rev. V. Darrell Byers officiating. Rev. Laurence Dove officiated at graveside services in Masonic Cemetery, Delphi, in the afternoon.
