Thomas E. Pruitt

Thomas E. Pruitt, 61, of Lafayette died May 30, 1984, at 4:25 a.m. in St. Elizabeth Hospital where he had been a patient three weeks.
  Born April 14, 1923, in Carroll County; his parents were Loren and Sarah Stevens Pruitt.  His marriage was to Betty Nichols Feb. 2, 1947, in Delphi.  She survives.
  A 1942 graduate of Delphi High School, he was a World War II Army veteran, an iron worker for 23 years and had worked for eight years in the security division of Essex in Lafayette.  He was a member of the Delphi Baptist Church an a former member of Delphi American Legion.
  Surviving with the wife are one daughter, Lucretia Coghill, Phoenix, Ariz.; two sisters, Nina Fife, Delphi, and Audrey Skelton, Fort Wayne; and two grandchildren.  Three brothers preceded in death.
  Services were Friday at Horn Funeral Home with Rev. George Troyer officiating.  Burial with full military rites were in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens.
