Evelyn May Zebrowski (Mullin)

Evelyn M. (Zebrowski) Mullin, 92, of Lafayette, passed away on Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at St. Mary Healthcare. Born April 17, 1923 in Lafayette, she was the daughter of the late George and Goldie (Bowen) Zebrowski. Evelyn was raised in Buck Creek and lived there most of her life, expect from 1938 to 1953 where she lived in Delphi and graduated from Delphi High School in 1942.

Her marriage of 55 years was to Donald H. Mullin on June 21, 1942 in Camden, IN. He preceded her in death on October 24, 1997.

Evelyn was a cook for the Sigma Pi and Theta Chi fraternities at Purdue. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, a life member of the Order of the Eastern Star Buck Creek Chapter 374 (now the Dayton O.E.S.), a past Worthy Matron for the O.E.S. Delphi Chapter, and a member of the Colburn Home Demonstration Club. Evelyn enjoyed wintering in Florida with her late husband, reading, and camping.

She is survived by her daughter, Donna Janssen (husband: James) of Buck Creek, and three grandsons, Thomas Conwell, Shaden Janssen, and Jaxon Janssen.

Preceding her in death with her parents and husband is a granddaughter, Jill Janssen.

Visitation will be held from 12:30 pm until the time of funeral service at 2 pm, Friday, May15, 2015 at Hippensteel Funeral Home, with Rev. Dr. David M. Doane officiating. Burial to follow in Tippecanoe Memory Gardens of West Lafayette. Memorial contributions may be made to Riley Children's Hospital.
