Donal W. Doty

Donal (Don) Wayne Doty of Monticello, Indiana departed to be with his Lord Jesus Christ at 3:10 a.m., October 17, 2019. He was born October 16, 1926 to James Harrison and Evi Leodosia (Bryan) Doty at Burrows, Carroll County, Indiana. He married Edith Mae Fry (deceased) in 1948. He married Loretta (Tate) Lee in 2003. Don was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers (Edgar and Gerald Doty), two sisters (Cutha Moon and Eulalia Coble), and a step-daughter (Karen Lee). He is survived by Loretta Lee-Doty (wife), Eldonna Deaver and Lorraine Doty (daughters), James and David Doty (sons), 11 grandchildren, and 12 great grandchildren. He is also survived by Cindy Brummett (step-daughter) and Bob Lee (step-son), 4 step-grandchildren, 5 great step-grandchildren, and 3 great, great step-grandchildren. Don graduated from Delphi (Indiana) High School in 1945 and enjoyed many years of employment with Kroger (Logansport, IN), Mer-Del’s Frozen Foods (Logansport, IN), and the Farm Bureau Co-op (Noblesville, IN). He was an active member of the Yeoman (IN) United Methodist Church and the Good Sam Hobos Camping Club. Don worked hard, laughed often, and loved deeply all his life, and will be dearly remembered and missed by innumerable family members, friends, and co-workers. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Monday, October 21 at Cree Funeral Home, Camden. Funeral services will be at 10am Tuesday at the funeral home with Rev. Don Harmon officiating, burial in Camden Cemetery.
