Mrs. Waunita Cooper, 48, a native of Delphi, died at her Elkhart home Saturday evening following an illness of a year. Born in Delphi Mar. 26, 1927, she was the daughter of Charles and Marie Haslet. She was married in Delphi Jan. 15,1949, to Harry M. Cooper, who died Jan. 26,1974. She was graduated from Delphi High School in 1945 and attended John Herron School of, Art at Indianapolis and Ball State University at Muncie. She was a member of Psi Iota Xi Sorority and F irs t Presbyterian Church at Elkhart where she moved in 1949. Surviving are a son, Charles H. of Elkhart; three daughters, Cheryl, Candace and Christine, all at home; and a sister, Mrs. Don (Wilma) Hudson of Brookston. Final rites were Tuesday at Elkhart and burial was in Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens at Osceola. Carroll County Comet, Aug. 13, 1975
