Mary Alice Martin (Hildebran)

Mary Alice Hildebran, 90, Monticello, passed away at 4:15 a.m., Monday, Jan. 1, 2018, at the White Oak Health Campus of Monticello.
She was born on July 10, 1927, in Carroll County to the late Walter Paton and Eppie Rachel (Lesh) Martin. On July 12, 1947, at the home of her parents the late Reverend Jim Ault, married her and George Robert Hildebran; he passed away on Feb. 26, 2017.
Mary attended Burrows Grade School and was a 1945 graduate of Delphi High School. After graduation, she worked for the Civil Service in Washington, D.C. for the Navy Department.
Mary was a member of the Presbyterian Church in Punta Gorda, Fla.
She lived east of Brookston on the farm she and her late husband owned and helped with the farming operations for over 40 years. Mary also worked for Farm Bureau Insurance at Delphi for 16 and one half years before retiring and later moved to Florida.
Surviving are daughters, Shirley (John) Conrad, Salem, Ill., Sandra (Larry) Anderson, Rochester, and Susan Roberts, Buffalo; two grandsons, Jason (Jolinda) Anderson, Macy, and Richard (Kristy) Conrad, Alma, Ill.; four granddaughters, Melissa (Leon) Hilmes, Alma, Ill., Vicki (Charles) Christian, Brownsburg, Shelly (Jack Rebelledo) Korous, Carmel, and Mandy (Bryon) Lattimore, Chalmers; six great-granddaughters, Serena Anderson, Courtney Conrad, Kylee Korous, Katlyn Hilmes, Megan Christian and Amy Christian; three great-grandsons, Jacob Hilmes, Landon Korous and Rohan Roberts Ramachandran; and one step-great grandson, Marco Rebolledo.
Mary was preceded in death by her parents, Walter Patton and Eppie Rachel (Lesh) Martin; husband, George Robert Hildebran; sister, Eleanor Irene (Robert) Martin-Young; brother, Robert Allen Martin; son-in-law, former White County Sheriff, John I. Roberts; nieces, Patti Lynn (Young) Willoughby; and nephew, Thomas Robert Young.
Visitation will be from noon – 2 p.m. Friday at the Miller-Roscka Funeral Home of Monticello. Celebration of Life Service will be at the funeral home at 2 p.m. Friday with Rev. Josh Conley of the Kinmundy Christian Church of Salem, Ill., and Bryon Lattimore officiating.
Burial will follow at the Hughes Cemetery in rural Monticello.
Memorials may be given to the wishes of the Donor.  Envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
