Eva M. Sheets Bolinger McLaughlin, 94, of Lafayette, passed away Tuesday-June 14, 2022, at 3:43pm, at St. Elizabeth East Hospital, Lafayette. She was born December 1, 1927, to the late Charles & Mary Gillam Sheets. Her 1st marriage was to Glennis Bolinger in Delphi, on December 17, 1946, and he preceded her in death on June 25, 1963. She then married John McLaughlin in Monticello, on April 27, 1968, and he preceded her in death in April of 1986. She was a 1945 graduate of Delphi High School. She formerly worked at the Ockley Elevator, and then as a bookkeeper for the Kerlin Elevator in Delphi for several years. She then worked at the former RCA Plant in Monticello for many years, and also helped her daughter and son-in-law at their Restaurant in Flora, Van's Country Breeze Restaurant, where she was affectionally known as "Grandma."  She was a member of the Flora United Methodist Church, and the Monticello VFW Woman's Auxiliary. She enjoyed crossword and word search puzzles, knitting, and watching old Western's and game shows. She loved to cook, and was known for her homemade strawberry jelly, a family favorite. She dearly loved her family and many grandchildren and being together for any occasion.
