Jack E. Kirkpatrick, 81, of Lafayette, died at 9:35 a.m. Saturday June 27, 2009, at St. Mary Health Care.

He was born in Delphi, Indiana to the late Monroe and Margaret Lewis Kirkpatrick. On July 31, 1948, he married Joan Beard in Delphi. She survives.

Also surviving are his children, Jacquelynn "Jacquie" Carson (Randall) of Homer Glenn, Il.; Kathleen "Kathy" Ingram (Michael) of Lafayette and Scott Kirkpatrick (Mary Kathryn) of Memphis, Tennessee; three sisters, Mary Cullum and Elizabeth Davis (James), both of Lafayette, and Norma Wilkinson of Crawfordsville; a brother, Paul Kirkpatrick of Lafayette; 6 grandchildren and 1 great-grandson.

He served in the U.S. Air Force.
