Larry J. Merrell, 86, passed away November 6, 2014 at Community Heart and Vascular Hospital in Indianapolis.

He was born September 7, 1928 in Delphi, Indiana to Lawrence and Grace Beard Merrell. Larry is a 1947 graduate of Delphi High School. He married his wife, Dorothy Collins Merrell, on May 13, 1950. He worked at Globe Valve, sold insurance for Western and Southern, and then sold real estate for Town and Country Real Estate, Colonial Real Estate, and Merrell's Real Estate. He is a veteran of the Army National Guard.

Larry enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.

Survivors include: wife, Dorothy Merrell; children, Christine (Mick) Rauch, Cathy (Doug) Smith, Joe (Phyllis) Merrell; sister Rosemary DenUyl; brother Robert Merrell; grandchildren, Dallas Wilson, Courtney Frantz, Andrew Merrell, Lauren Smith, Erin Merrell, Grace Merrell, Emma Smith, Kristy Taylor, Katie Bowman, Matt Rauch; 11 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Frances Walker, Linda Lou Merrell; brother John Merrell; and granddaughter Devon Merrell.

Services will be held Monday, November 10, 2014 at 12:00 pm at Tippecanoe Memory Gardens. Visitation will be held there from 11:00 am until the time of the service.
