Dale J. Brewer Sr., 69, of Monticello, died at 6 a.m. June 29, 2000, at his residence. He had been in failing health for several months. Born Nov. 9, 1930, in Monticello, he was the son of Dale J. and Nora Reames Brewer. He married Connie L. Fife in Delphi on Feb. 12, 1963, and she survives. He was a 1949 graduate of Delphi High School and was a U.S. Air Force veteran, serving during the Korean Conflict. He had worked at the old Monticello RCA plant and worked for 19 years at the Cheseboro Ponds warehouse in Monticello. Mr. Brewer was a member of the Christian Church and American Legion, both in Monticello. He enjoyed working in his garden, sports, and going to cardiac rehabilitation. Also surviving are five daughters, Debbie Brewer, Vicki Caldwell and Stacey Brewer, all of Monticello, Deanna Hekking of Manto, N.C., and Lisa Fulmer of Bristol, Tenn.; one son, Dale J. Brewer Jr. of Indianapolis; a sister, Geraldine Brewer of Monticello; eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by three brothers. Services were Sunday in Monticello with burial at Riverview IOOF Cemetery.
